We recently completed New Zealand’s legendary multisport race — the Coast to Coast — with great success!
This iconic race crosses the South Island of New Zealand, stretching from Hokitika on the West Coast all the way to Christchurch on the East Coast. Over the course of the event, competitors cycle, run, kayak, and cycle again — covering a total distance of 240 kilometers.
The Coast to Coast is one of the largest sporting events in New Zealand, attracting more than 1,500 athletes and over 3,000 support crew members every year.
Although we currently live in New Zealand, we proudly competed under Hungarian colours as Team Pannon Kiwi.
László shared his thoughts on the experience:
“We picked up a tiny pebble from one shore of New Zealand, then biked, ran, kayaked, and biked again to reach the other side — 240 kilometers in two days.
This was a truly special event that we had been planning to do together for five years.
Of course, a challenge like this couldn’t have been completed without an amazing support team!Huge thanks to our support crew, Balázs and Bence, who helped with gear prep, packing, and camp setup and takedown. And last but not least, thank you to our families who supported us during our preparation and cheered us on from afar.”
